Air-to-Water Heat Pump Chillers

Continental’s Air-to-Water Heat Pump Chillers feature advanced rotary screw compressor technology, brazed plate evaporator/condenser and copper tube and aluminum fin condenser/evaporator. Each refrigerant circuit is complete with a filter drier, sight glass, solenoid valve, expansion valve and reversing valve. The NEMA 12 control center is complete with all power, operating and safety controls, and is ETL listed to UL 508A. All components are mounted on one common skid, constructed from structural steel welded to form a solid heavy-duty frame.

Models HPAR offer high efficiency in both cooling and heating modes, due to the fact that the heat transfer surfaces are generously sized.

Part load performance is automatically controlled between 100% to 25%, and all values in between – to match the load.

Models HPAR use outside ambient to provide hot water. In most cases, the limiting factor is the outside ambient. The practical design ambient temperature is 35° F. Below 35° F, one option is to have factory supplied supplemental heat or a backup HPAR system that will defrost while the main system is heating.

Continental’s open protocol BACnet controller further enhances the product application and can be used with many building control systems.

Continental’s chillers are
Engineered Green™  by using environmentally-friendly, non-ozone depleting refrigerant technology for energy-efficiency.
