Water-to-Water Heat Pump
Chillers
Continental’s Water-to-Water
Heat Pump Chillers feature rotary screw compressors, brazed
plate evaporator/condenser. Each refrigerant circuit is complete
with a filter drier, sight glass, solenoid valve, expansion
valve and reversing valve. The NEMA 12 control center is
complete with all power, operating and safety controls, and is
ETL listed to UL 508A. All components are mounted on one common
skid, constructed from structural steel welded to form a solid
heavy-duty frame.
Models HPWR use ground water and are very efficient to cool and
heat. The cooling energy –efficiency of models HPWR is 20-24 EER,
compared to an EER of 10-12 for a conventional chiller.
Likewise, in heating mode, HPWR has a COP of 3 to 4, which means
for every kW of electrical input, the output is 3 to 4 times,
compared to a commercial boiler which is 0.7 to 0.8.
